About

Conscious graffiti is an experiment with linguistic pictograms. A linguistic pictogram is a word that has been enfused with the intention of the particular word that is being designed.

thus if you were to design the word “walk”, the piece would look like it is walking. if you were to design the word “fast” it would be enfused with all the design elements of fast motion.

rolling Tricks

This was where the initial idea for  “conscious graffiti” came from. In Janurary 2004 while I was at my desk designing graffiti I was dreaming about a certain trick I had mastered during the days skating. literally before my eyes my design started to take on the qualities of the trick I was thinking about. In that moment I concieved of the wider applications I could explore with graffiti, it was as if I was shaken loose from the graffiti game of “out for fame” where writers only represent a name or particular style. I was free to re-design my approach to writing graffiti.
